You can confront foes with hand or with weapons and firearms. In the first quarter Dead Island: Riptide full version game, you have no weapons, but as the level goes up, you will arm with melee weapons. You will be finding the weapons on the places as needed. You can upgrade the weapon four times. The weapons include nails, electrified blades, poison, etc. If you persist using these weapons, they will wear out.
In Dead Island: Riptide free game, you will see a stamina bar. That is, you will have to halt for some time if you have jumped, run, or swung a weapon until the stamina bar decreases.
